Our Mission

Animals to Safety is a 501(C) (3) Volunteer-powered non-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance to suffering animals and their owners in war-torn and poverty-stricken areas around the globe. Some of the assistance we can provide include: food, shelter, transportation, and medical care including spay/neuter. Animals To Safety has made it a priority to provide spay and neuter to reduce stray cats and dogs overpopulation, and educate the community on the importance of Spay/neuter their pets.

Our Vision

Our vision is to lessen the pain and misery of stray cats and dogs all over the world. Through spay/neuter programs and increased awareness we hope to have a positive impact on the lives of all animals.

About Me

Hello and thank you for visiting our page.
My name is Reem Lajin – the founder of Animals To Safety. Our story began when I visited Syria in 2019 and witnessed the overwhelming suffering among the overpopulated stray cats and dogs. Their life on the street is one of misery and pain, fear and hunger, and usually resulting in a painful death. Cats get hit by cars every day and are left to die, many do not die right away and try to survive with broken bones and open wounds, dragging their weak bodies trying to find water and food.
Dogs get poisoned, shot, tortures, burned, and raped. It was impossible for me to ignore what I saw, and what I heard and I knew I had to do something to help.
I believe spay and neuter is the key to reducing misery, especially in countries the war and poverty made it hard for the locals to spay/neuter their pets, and for the local low funded rescues to spay/neuter the strays.

In the honor of my beloved babies. Sasha, Charlie, Opie, Johnny, Pax and Muggles
